Hungary is a developed European country with an easy-to-adapt culture and one of the safest places in the EU. It’s comfortable for raising kids, enjoying retirement, getting a degree, or working remotely.

The Guest Investor Program (GIP), also known as the Hungary Golden Visa, has been in effect since 1 July 2024. The program grants a residence permit in exchange for an investment. It’s a strong option for those who prefer more stable assets with a potential return of the invested funds and the ability to earn passive income.

You can live in Hungary full-time, visit occasionally, or stay abroad for extended periods. The GIP program has no strict residency requirements - applicants are not required to know the language or live in the country for most of the year to keep their status.
