- - - The D7 visa is issued for four months and allows two entries into the country. During this period, you must apply for a residence permit. Official employment on a D7 visa is not possible, but this restriction is lifted once you have obtained a residence permit.
Portugal is the only country that allows you to apply for an EU passport after 5 years of holding a residence permit with minimal language and residency requirements.
There is no requirement to reside in Portugal as part of the residence permit, provided that you have a source of income outside Portugal, including income from renting out real estate.
