A Digital Nomad visa/residence permit provides an opportunity to relocate to Portugal. After obtaining a residence permit, there may be grounds that allow you not to live in the country on a full-time basis. The permit is issued for 2 years and can then be extended for an additional 3 years.

APPLICATION PROCESS

1. Initial document review for the main applicant and family members (if applicable)

3. Obtain a Portuguese Tax Identification Number (NIF)
4. Purchase or rent a property
5. Prepare and submit documents for the Digital Nomad visa
6. Receive the Digital Nomad visa
7. Enter Portugal on the Digital Nomad visa
8. Submit the residence permit application
9. Receive the residence permit
